Grenelle Market

On Wednesday and Sunday mornings, the area below the metro viaduct that runs between La Motte Piquet and Dupleix is transformed into one of Paris's largest open air markets. If you are tired of tasteless vegetables or the tough leather that the supermarkets sell as meat, then this is the place for you. No more sawing through a Monoprix rumsteack, and no more wondering if you have bad sinuses because you cannot taste the tomato you just bought in Franprix. The food here has real flavour.

We also really love the oysters. The tasiest are the medium ones size 3 at around 11 € a dozen. They'll open them for you as well !
